BASS Fishing western WA is awesome. We have big bass!

Western Washington BASS fishing is very popular! The reason is, we have big Smallmouth in Washington state.

It is not uncommon to hook into a 5lb Smallmouth. We fish select lakes in western Washington for both largemouth and smallmouth bass. In fact, Washington state has some trophy smallmouth bass in comparison to many areas around the country.

While you may want to fish a certain lake in western Washington, we like to recommend which lake to fish, based on recent catch ratio. Most of the lakes we fish are a short drive from Seattle.

We fish the following lakes for bass; Lake Goodwin, Lake Whatcom, Lake Samish, Lake Washington, Lake Stevens and Lake Sammamish.

The Washington state record for smallmouth bass is 8.75 lbs. This record was set April 23, 1966. The Washington state record for largemouth bass is 12.53 lbs. set August 8, 2016.

I strive to not only provide a good fishing trip, but also a fun and informative day on the lake. You will learn many techniques and tips on how to catch fish and improve your fishing skills. New to bass fishing? No problem. We have the patience to teach you how to fish correctly.

Rates are for the boat, not per person, max of 2 anglers.

Full Day – $700.00 (Full day trips are 7 hours in length)

Half Day – $400.00 (Half day trips are 3.5 hours in length)

What to Expect & What to Bring

Our Boat –

You will be fishing out of a 21ft. Skeeter Bass Boat with a Mercury 225 EFI. We use Hummingbird Solix 15 SI Mega+ and Solix 12 DI Mega + and Mega 360 Imaging and Mega Live Target Lock electronics to help you target the fish. With our Minn Kota Ultrex 36v trolling motor.

We have plenty of power for fishing and spot lock will keep us on the fish when a spot is producing well. You will be very comfortable, even if the wind blows a little.

Our Tackle – I will provide all of the tackle, rods and reels. We use St. Croix Mojo Bass and Bass X rods. Abu Garcia levelwind reels and Pflueger spinning reels complete a balanced fishing system.

All of the equipment is high quality and easy to use. You are welcome to bring as much of your own gear as you would like, especially if you have a lucky lure or fishing pole.

Food and Drink – Bring water and your favorite snack for your trip, we do not provide lunch.

Sunglasses and sunscreen – Try to bring your favorite sun screen and if you forget, don’t worry I have plenty. Make sure your sun glasses are polarized this will help you see much more. We also recommend cloting designed to block the sun, such as long sleeve performance shorts and buffs to keep the sun of your neck and ears.

Winter months – Plan on layering! It will usually be cold in the morning and it may warm in the late morning.

We do not offer a shared boat for Bass fishing.
